We do PhD admissions as a group, so if you're looking for a PhD supervisor then all I can do is encourage you to apply. We do, however, take most PhD students from our own Masters course, known informally as Part III, so it may be more appropriate to look there first.

I’m unable to take external students for summer research projects as I have to prioritise students from Cambridge.

I'm not able to give feedback on any attempts at constructing new theories of physics. This is especially true if you're someone who thinks Einstein was wrong or quantum mechanics is wrong. (Unless you're concerned that Einstein was wrong about the heat capacity of solids at low temperatures, in which case we can talk.) But if you've got a genuine question about established theories then I'll try to answer.
